Highways and Roads

TYPAR Geosynthetics are extensively used in civil engineering in the construction of highways - from preventing intermixing of sub-base and subgrade layers, control erosion on slopes, for roadside drainage, as part of Low Impact Design (LID) projects for infrastructure access and in the construction of retaining walls, bridge abutments and steep slopes.

Demarcation and warning layers

When filteration and separation functions are needed for projects over contaminated land, TYPAR Geosynthetic\\\\\\\'s product line offers a full portfolio of high visibility warning and detection products.

TYPAR Hi-Vis geotextile is bright orange and used to mark soil prior to backfilling. Made from orange fibers, it has the same performance characteristics of TYPAR G Series Geotextiles, with the added benfit of providing visible separation of clean and contaminated soils. Future excavations will see TYPAR Hi-Vis and be warned of the contaminated soils in the area.

TYPAR Indicator Mesh, available in red, protects bridge deck membranes and may also act as a marker during resurfacing. The mesh  offers easy installation and is a proven alternative to red sand.

TYPAR DetctaMesh detectable underground warning tapes serve multiple functions during road building.

  1. Provide a visible warning to future excavators
  2. Contans an element that enables detection of placec pripes, preventing damage to underground services.
